Mr. Fix It

Micah A.K.A Mr. Fix It did some work around the house for me todayemoticon He was given the coolest tool set for Christmas . He LOVES it and carries at all over the place… putting screws into this and nails into that… it keeps him occupied for minutes (that’s a lot for Micah Man) Anyway, the rule of thumb with Micah, maybe every toddler? is…. if he’s not where I can see him and he is QUIET for more than a couple minutes I should really go check on him. He may be playing in a toliet, in the trash, harrasing Snowflake, pulling every book he owns off the shelf, I could go on and on with the things he gets into, but you catch the drift. Anyway, today was iron day. I wash clothes almost everyday, but when there are several days worth of Micah clothes, I gather then all and iron them. I am an IRON FREAK!!! Anyway, this whole task takes less than 10 minutes and Micah normally entertains Snowflake or plays my alarm clock for me while I iron. He figured out how to press one button on the clock to make the radio come on (I didn’t even know how to do this) He can also change the station, which he does frequently and can adjust the volume. Well, today while I was ironing Micah turned the radio to Q 100 and was dancing around the room and singing "no no no" (low low low) to Apple Bottom Jeans. I enjoyed watching him sing and dance, but after a minute or two he disappered… Now remember I worry about him if he is QUIET, but this particular time I heard him clearly hitting with a hammer. I figured he was fixing he tool box…. I WAS WRONG!!! He was FIXING MY KITCHEN TABLE!!! emoticonI know I shouldn’t be mad… and I’m not, just a little sad. He fixed my table with 30 hits with the end of a wooden hammer. When I finally checked on Micah to see what he was beating so happily I saw him and said "Oh No!" He simply handed me the hammer and made a kissing noise… He knew what he had done, but it’s a little late now… we may just have to invest in a table cloth. emoticon
